The uptake of the substrates was measured using a cytochemical method for incorporation of precursors into macromolecules, and the cytotoxicity was evaluated by direct measurements of LDH release. The results of our study suggest that the astrocytoma cells are able to incorporate higher amounts of cholesterol and adenosine nucleotides than the normal cells. On the other hand, the astrocytoma cells showed a higher susceptibility to the cytotoxicity of cholesterol and adenosine nucleotides than the normal cells. The increased uptake of cholesterol and adenosine nucleotides in the astrocytoma cells could be related to their higher sensitivity to these compounds.The present invention relates to a flexible display device.
